Guadalupe Duarte founded Alisos Tree Service & Land Care Inc. in 1999 with a simple mission: to provide honest, reliable tree care rooted in respect for both people and nature. With decades of experience and an unwavering work ethic, Guadalupe built the business from the ground up, earning a reputation for excellence and trust in the community. His passion for the natural world and commitment to family values laid the foundation for everything we do today.
While he has passed the torch to his sons, Sergio and Ruben, Guadalupe remains a guiding force within the company. His dedication to quality and integrity continues to inspire us daily as we carry forward the values he instilled in Alisos Tree Service & Land Care.
In 2010, Sergio Duarte took on the honor of leading the business, carrying forward the legacy his father started. His passion for trees and commitment to excellence drove him to earn his ISA Certification and California Contractor’s License in 2013, bringing new levels of expertise and professionalism to our services.
In 2015, Ruben Duarte, Sergio’s brother, joined as our Operational Supervisor, playing a vital role in helping the company grow and expand its reach while maintaining the high standards our clients have come to expect.

With over a decade of experience leading Alisos Tree Service & Land Care, Sergio brings a passion for trees and a deep commitment to quality service. His expertise in arboriculture and dedication to lifelong learning ensure that every project is handled with precision and care. Sergio’s mission is to educate clients and inspire a deeper connection with nature while always prioritizing safety and environmental responsibility. He takes pride in helping homeowners and businesses maintain beautiful, healthy landscapes, knowing that well-cared-for trees enhance both the environment and the community. Whether it’s a simple trim or a complex removal, he approaches every job with integrity and a focus on long-term tree health.
When he’s not working with trees, Sergio enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two children. Whether they’re exploring the outdoors, enjoying family activities, or simply relaxing together, he cherishes every moment with them.
Ruben Duarte – Operational Supervisor
Ruben joined the business in 2015, bringing a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the team. His focus on efficiency and client satisfaction ensures that each project runs smoothly from start to finish. Known for his attention to detail and problem-solving skills, Ruben is a key part of our success and growth. When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Starting in 1985, Guadalupe worked in the tree service industry, learning the trade from the ground up. After more than a decade of hard work and hands-on experience, he stepped out in faith to start his own company in 1998—driven by a deep desire to build something lasting for his family. His “why” was simple but profound: to create and leave a family legacy.
The road wasn’t always easy. He faced real challenges, from language barriers to customers who wouldn’t pay, and the constant hustle to keep the workflow steady. But through it all, Guadalupe pressed on with grit, determination, and a heart full of faith.
More than just a business, Guadalupe built Alisos Tree Service on the values of faith, family, service, and love. His mission has always been to love everyone through service and gratitude—treating each customer and every job as an opportunity to serve with excellence, humility, and heart.
His dream was—and still is—to show his children and future generations that with God, hard work, and a committed heart, anything is possible. Today, while he has passed the torch to his family, Guadalupe remains a guiding force in the business. His passion, wisdom, and example continue to shape the legacy he began, inspiring not just his family, but everyone who knows the story of Alisos Tree Service.
